Welcome to Ms. Baker’s class! This is my first year at Lowell Elementary! I couldn’t be more happy, this school reminds me of where I came from in Pocatello, Idaho. I am starting my fifth year of teaching. I have had experience teaching grades 3, 4, 6 and now 5th. I have spent two years working on the ELA and Math units and have spent many hours understanding and exploring the 5th grade standards. In class we spend every day exploring and talking about our understanding of the concepts. I have very high expectations in my classroom. Students are required to persevere in all subject areas. My goal this year is to have them create a toolbox to help them in real world situations in both Math and ELA to be successful. We use technology on a weekly basis in all subject areas. I can already see such great growth from the beginning of the year to now!
